Heat exchanger rental
Renting a heat exchanger is the logical choice when you only need one temporarily: during a planned shutdown, a peak in load or a breakdown that has to be bridged. We rent out from our own stock in Oosterhout, so you do not have to invest in a unit that will sit idle after two months. Tell us what needs to happen and you will hear within one working day what is possible.

When do you rent a heat exchanger?
Renting becomes attractive as soon as the need has an end date. You pay for the period the unit is running, not for an investment that ends up in the warehouse afterwards. We mostly see it in these situations:
- Temporary process cooling or temporary heating of an installation
- A planned shutdown during which your own exchanger is out of service
- Extra capacity during a peak in production or in the season
- Bridging the gap until the permanent exchanger is delivered or replaced
- A test setup where the required capacity has not yet been established
Rental from our own stock in Oosterhout
Our rental units come from the same stock as our sales. That saves time: nothing has to come from abroad before you know where you stand. Call +31 (0)162 429 068 with the temperatures, the flow rate and the desired period, and you will hear straight away whether it can be done from stock.

What we agree with you in advance
With rentals we make the agreements concrete up front, so there is no discussion during the rental period. That covers the model and the capacity, the duration, and who arranges what around transport and connection. You receive those agreements in writing with the proposal.
We apply no minimum rental period: if you rent the exchanger for a week, you pay for a week. We can arrange the transport for you, but you are equally welcome to collect the exchanger yourself or have it collected — whatever suits you best.
- The model and the capacity, matched to your process conditions
- The rental period — no minimum, and what happens if the project overruns
- The transport: arranged by us or by yourself
- Who to contact if something does not work during the period
Renting or buying: where is the tipping point?
The rule of thumb is simple: the longer the period, the sooner buying pays off. For a few weeks to a few months, renting is almost always cheaper, certainly when the capacity has not yet been established. If it runs longer, or the temporary solution turns out to be permanent, we will calculate for you what your own gasketed plate heat exchanger costs — and what you have already paid in rent.
Not sure yet which capacity you need?
If you are unsure about the required capacity, you do not have to work it out on your own. Our heat exchanger calculation page contains the formulas and a calculation aid that lets you work out the capacity directly on that page; you do not need a separate Excel file. Via the calculation form you can also leave the calculation to us. We calculate along with you and only rent out what demonstrably fits.
