Cookie statement

This cookie statement describes which cookies HEXCHANGE B.V. (hereinafter also: “HEXCHANGE” or “we”) uses on the website www.hexchange.eu (hereinafter: the “Website”) and for what purpose.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of (text) information that are sent to your browser when you visit a website and are then stored on the hard disk or in the memory of your computer, tablet or mobile phone (hereinafter: “Device”). The cookies placed via the Website cannot damage your Device or the files stored on it. Where we write “cookies” below, we also mean comparable techniques that store or read information on your Device.

You choose

On your first visit we ask what we may measure. As long as you make no choice, everything stays off: no cookies for statistics or advertising are placed. Only the cookies listed under “Necessary” below always work — without them the webshop cannot do what you ask.

We store your choice for six months in a cookie of our own. You can change or withdraw it at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

Necessary — always

This storage is needed to deliver what you ask for. No consent is required for it and you cannot switch it off.

  • Shopping basket — what you put in your basket, so it is still there as you click on.
  • Sign-in session — so you do not have to sign in again on every page.
  • Your choices in the shop — the country you select for the delivery time, a dismissed notice, and the order number with which you find your order again.
  • Your cookie choice itself — otherwise we would ask again on every page.

This data stays on your own Device or goes only to our own server.

Statistics — only with your consent

To see how the Website is used and where visitors get stuck we use Google Analytics. It shows us, for example, which pages are viewed and by which route someone arrives. We use that data to improve the Website.

Advertising — only with your consent

We advertise on Google. With Google Ads we measure which advert led to an enquiry or an order, so that we do not spend our budget on the wrong searches.

For that we also store a cookie of our own (ninety days) containing the click identifier Google attaches to your visit and the campaign details from the address bar. If you then request a quotation or place an order, we record that origin with that request.

We use these cookies only to measure which advert led to an enquiry or an order. We do not do remarketing and we do not show personalised adverts; the signal for that is permanently switched off in our measurement code. We do not show adverts on this Website ourselves and we do not sell data to third parties.

Company recognition — on the basis of legitimate interest

We use the lead generation service of Leadinfo B.V., Rotterdam, the Netherlands. It recognises from the IP address of your internet connection which company is visiting our Website and shows us publicly available company details, such as the company name and address. This identifies the company, not you as a person; we use it to know which companies are interested and to approach business visitors in a targeted way. For this, Leadinfo places two first-party cookies and processes domain names from form input to correlate IP addresses with companies.

We base this processing on our legitimate interest as a business-to-business supplier (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); we do not ask for consent for it in the cookie banner. If you do not want to be recognised, you can say so on Leadinfo’s opt-out page: https://www.leadinfo.com/en/opt-out — after that, Leadinfo no longer registers your data. You can also object to us, using the details under Privacy statement.

What happens if you refuse

If you refuse, no cookies for statistics or advertising are placed and we do not link your visit to an advertisement click. Leadinfo’s company recognition is separate from this choice; see above for how to switch it off.

The Website does report to Google that a visit took place, without a cookie and without data by which you can be identified. Google uses that to estimate roughly how many visits and enquiries there were in total. This is called Consent Mode and is the standard behaviour of Google’s measurement software.

The Website works fully without consent — ordering included.

Deleting cookies

You can set your browser not to accept cookies, and you can delete cookies that have already been placed. Please consult your browser’s help function. Bear in mind that some parts of the Website will then no longer work properly, for example your basket and signing in.

Refusing and deleting cookies applies only to the computer and browser in which you do so. If you use several computers or browsers, you have to repeat it for each of them.

Privacy statement

Insofar as personal data are processed by means of cookies, the HEXCHANGE privacy statement also applies. You will find it on the Website.

Changes

This cookie statement may be amended. We announce amendments via the Website.
